I think this place is ok, American food.

Great place. Service was top notch. My African pork ribs were tender and meaty. Will definitely go back. In fact, before I posted the above, we did go back! The ribs were so good I had them again. Had a different waitress and still great service. This took a long time for me to get this posted. This was in September 2012.

Calamari was really good, the breading tasted amazing. The rolls were great too. Waitress was attentive and I never had an empty water glass. Greek Lemon Chicken was not good. Chicken, angel hair pasta, and green beans were sitting in a soup of olive oil and lemon in a bowl. Pasta was incredibly greasy, beans were not good, and everything was way too lemony and oily. I wouldn't recommend that dish. My boyfriend had the perch fish fry which he enjoyed. Noise level in dining room was pretty loud. Temperature inside was perfect, it was cold outside but I was warm inside in a thin short sleeved sweater.

I wish I could give zero stars. I'm giving one for the waitress because she was sweet and very attentive but, other than that, wish I could give it zero. Sadly, that was the last place we went before leaving Door County, after so many wonderful food experiences there. I suppose we should have been tipped off by the fact that there was only one other table filled in the entire place and it wasn't off season. I ordered a reuben, which was greasy, with overly chewy meat and made me sick to my stomach. I realize reubens can be slightly greasy but this was actually beyond the norm, mushy and tasted a bit like fish, like it was cooked in overused oil. My boyfriend ordered what was supposed to be "fish and chips" but amounted to nothing more than what looked like Gorton's fish sticks (although I think they might have actually tasted better) and tasted FROZEN and undercooked with fries that were damp and limp and again, nasty. From reading the menu, and how many times it gave itself props for having the "best of" something in all the land, you would have thought we would have had the most epic meal we had ever eaten. Instead we felt cheated, like the owner is touting the place to be amazing but cutting corners wherever possible and serving what is tantamount to a meal you would have gotten in a public school cafeteria in the 70s (fish stick Friday, every Friday all through elementary school). They should be ashamed of themselves for the quality of the food, especially given the prices. This restaurant does a great disservice to the rest of the places in the area because anyone who eats there first and judges the rest on that one will have the wrong impression. Please go to any number of restaurants on the main strip and you won't be sorry!

Prison food at criminal prices. It's rare I feel compelled to write a negative Yelp review,, but that was the case after eating a meal here. My wife and I ate here last night and both couldn't be more disappointed. I began with an overpriced bowl of French onion soup at the cost of $6.75. The size was small and the soup was average. Certainly not worth the cost My wife ordered a 1/3lb cheeseburger at the cost of $12.99. The burger was clearly of the frozen variety with a slice of American cheese not even melted on top. Her burger was dry and tasteless, and would be more suited on a $3.99 kids menu somewhere. I ordered the Grecian chicken at a cost of $17.99. What I was served was a large bowl consisting of a thawed out breast of chicken with minced garlic atop a pile of angel hair pasta drenched in olive oil and lemon juice. The meal was absolutely awful. There is no possible way any kitchen serving food at the prices they do here should have been comfortable sending out that dish. No flavor whatsoever and a complete injustice to Grecian chicken everywhere which should be rich with taste. I have no problem paying for a good meal, but the quality of food at the prices this place was charging was ridiculous. That said, the chicken they served would not be justified at any price. I can comfortably say without even having eaten at any additional places to recommend that there are better places than this to go. Steer clear!

I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. My family and I ate here twice last week because the king crab legs were so delicious. They catered great to my multiple food allergies. I had a side salad, baked potato, and crab legs 2 nights in a row. Both meals were by far my favorite while in Door County.

Down to a 2 star... Been coming here as a traditional stop for 30 yrs. But the prices are getting too high and the Portions are getting so much smaller. Disappointed.

Came here for lunch. The grouper sandwich was very good. The fries were a little greasy but good. My husband had the lobster/crab roll. He said it was good, but the bun to meat ratio was bad. This place is a little pricey. $36 for lunch for two people, no booze. I can see where the bad reviews could happen. I didn't look on Yelp before going. I don't think I would come here again.

A good little restaurant in Fish Creek. We were looking for a quick dinner stop after a busy day in Door County. I enjoyed a Caesar salad and my husband tried the Asian chicken salad. Both were great and the homemade bread was fresh and delicious. They have a nice kids menu and the kids enjoyed homemade mac n cheese. The building is pretty unique and close to several shops downtown.

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. Very cozy on a rainy day. I also really love having our own pot of coffee on the table. My mom got the Belgium waffles and she ate every bite which if you knew my mother, you'd know is a pretty big deal. She eats like a bird. I got the California omelette which was also very good. Big chunks of avocado in the guac. I also got a side of potatoes because I need potatoes when I'm eating eggs. It's a thing. I would recommend this place for sure if you're in the area.

Three of us had items from the special menu, 3 bacon wrapped scallops and the wedge salad. Awesome! Other person had the ribs supposedly famous for 25 years. INEDIBLE! They were so incredibly dry and tasteless. Service was good .... except we got lunch menus at 5 pm and when we asked for dinner menus we were told the specials menu wasn't going to be ready for 15 minutes so wd had to wait. Very strange.

Like the reviewer below, we were also totally stunned by how bad this restaurant was, and talked about Gordon Ramsey coming out from behind one of the doors to exclaim, "THIS FISH WAS FROZEN!" Anyway, the "whitefish amandine" is previously frozen fish that's overlooked and rubbery, with stale sliced almonds from the grocery store sprinkled on top. The sauce on the mushroom ravioli is lumpy and gray, and is thickened not with Brie as the menu says but with plain flour... Think southern biscuit gravy mixed with cream of mushroom soup. However, if you WANT to sit in plastic lawn chairs and eat this stuff on YOUR next vacation, then have we got the place for you!

This place is decent place to eat at. I can't say the food is exceptional but it has always been very good. I tend to like my dining experience more in the summer when we can eat outside.

Food was ok. Outside seating is very uncomfortable. Service was marginal at best. Draft beer was horrible so i ordered a mixed drink that was horrible too. Would recommend other places before summertime.

We stopped here randomly as we were exploring Fish Creek. We had a great experience and a very friendly waiter. Hubby had a great grouper sandwich, I had a cheeseburger and daughter had fish & chips. Everything was tasty. Outdoor patio is nice. We would go back.

This place was a real pleasure. Quiet, clean and just slightly off the main drag. Service and food were excellent.

The whole time I was eating, I expected Robert Irvine to pop out of the kitchen screaming. Unfortunately, this wasn't an episode of "Restaurant Impossible" and the food really was this terrible. My chicken breast was served raw. I pointed it out to the server who then brought back the exact same plate (including the pasta that was sitting under the raw chicken breast) with the same piece of chicken cooked more. Don't make the mistake of wandering into this place...you're going to have a bad time.

One of our favorite places to dine in Door County! We usually eat outside on the large patio which is very comfortable with a large group and pretty too. Our review of the food is mixed. Several ordered the whitefish which was overcooked and almost had the texture of previously frozen fish. Another in our party had the salmon which was just ok. However, those who had the burgers thought they were excellent. The perch was lightly pan fried - delicious . As always, the wait staff was efficient, helpful and very friendly.

Great service and food. We came here for breakfast and had a nice experience and good food at a reasonable price.

We were disappointed with the meal we had here. I had salmon and it was not good at all. My husband had the South African ribs- he said they were "OK", but not very tender. My stepson had a burger- the menu said "best in the area" which was not true at all. On top of that, everything was very overpriced. The place was near empty at dinner time, which should have been a sign for us. The service was very good however- our waitress was very friendly and was there when we needed something. The furniture was outdated too. It's really too bad because this is a great location in a cool old building. If they would update the furniture and atmosphere and spend more on quality food, they could make a profit by having a lot of customers, instead of making a profit by overpricing low quality food. Maybe it's better for breakfast.

What a great restaurant! I've eaten here a couple of times. Usually every time I'm in Fish Creek. They have a really nice dinner menu. Their steak is really good and so is their fish dinners. This is also a really great place for breakfast. Their eggs benedict is some of the best I've ever had. They have really good bacon too. It's thick cut and delicious.

We went there for breakfast and enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. Big portions, standard breakfast fare, friendly service.

Breakfast was just ok. It makes me so sad when breakfast potatoes have not crisp to them at all. These were just oily and mushy you need to brown breakfast potatoes damnit! Too expensive for what you got. Do not recommend for breakfast.

I loved the country feel of this restaurant. Our waiter was exceptional. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time and was pretty decent. I liked that it wasn't as busy as the other restaurants in the area. The portions were quite large. So, I felt that the pricing was fair. I think it was the service though that made this place stand out more than anything.

Great service! Our waiter (Blake) was very helpful and friendly. Our lunch food was delicious and the portions were generous. We have had dinner there before (in pre-Yelp years), and dinner was just as good then.

Went for dinner while vacationing in door county. We sat outside on the patio and the waitress was really nice and friendly. The food was really not very good though. I had scallops scampi with angel hair pasta and it was tasteless. The pasta was plain and way overcooked. Plus it was expensive! The food was not good enough for what they charged. We won't be going back.

typical tourist trap. we had the fried cheese curds and the perch fry. the cheese curds were 7.75! i'm not from wisconsin, but somehow i think that is a outrageous. they were good, but i think 4.50 would have been more fair. the perch was okay. the menu looked very standard. i wouldn't recommend going here just because it was very run of the mill.

Great breakfast place with outdoor seating. Our server Taylor was exemplary and took time to ensure we were having an enjoyable time in Fish Creek. Breakfast was standard fare, with good portions which were well prepared and presented. Strongly recommended for a casual breakfast dining experience.
